Instructions: Students are responsible for viewing the TED Talk and reading the current event article. Write a 100-150 word response explaining how either (option A) TED Talk or (option B) Current Event Article relates to both the class readings, videos, and the lecture slides. Make sure to provide examples from both the textbook (Chasteen p#) and the lecture slides (Mod. #2) to support your answers. For the videos embedded in the lecture slides, use (Many Rivers) or (Haitian Rev) for parenthetical citation. Students will also reply to another fellow classmates whose post was different from your own post. For example, if you summarized the TED Talk, reply to a classmate who analyzed the Current Event Article and make connections to how both TED Talk and Current Event article are either related to the major themes discussed in this Module concerning race and slavery.
