Provide the link to the resource in your pos Answer preview:Birth weight refers to the weight of the baby at the time of birth. A low birth weight baby may be born too early, too small or both. Families with extremely low birthweight babies experience more stress than families with babies who are born with normal weights. Also, research shows that stress is more on the families that are socio-demographically advantaged than those that are disadvantaged. Ongoing problems in child functioning as a result of low birth weight leads to adversities in the families (Taylor et al., 2001). It leads to negative effects on family functioning such as taking unpaid days off to take care of the baby, social isolation, unsafe home environment, increased and financial worry.Word: 500
